Holiday Greeting Production

Michelle Cryan

‘Tis the season to start pondering the worthiness of ye olde holiday greeting.

We’ve been producing video or animated holiday greetings for several years and are looking for alternatives that are more cost effective and less time consuming. How does your institution approach the annual holiday communication?

  • Do you produce a video, some other form of animated message, a simple graphic with text that is emailed or do you still send cards in the mail?
  • Do you share the greeting with your constituents via email, social media, on your website?
  • What do you think the trend will be over the next few years?

We’d appreciate any input.

RE: Holiday Greeting Production

Lindsey Wilkerson

Hi Michelle –

ULM’s Office of Public Information produces a Holiday Greeting video in conjunction with student talent. It is sent to students/faculty/staff/alumni via email, posted on social media, and placed on the home page.

ULM hasn’t sent out printed/physical cards in years. The videos get great response, especially on social media. Tons of shares and views.

Our 2016 Holiday Greeting can be found on our FB page - https://www.facebook.com/universitylouisianamonroe/videos/10154587417210071/

Hope this helps!
